Ian started his journalist career with BBC Radio Wales reporting from Welsh League matches. He has also covered football matches in every English league and been a commentator for Wrexham and Swansea City games. Alongside this, Ian spent 10 years as a chief reporter for the TV results service ‘Wales on Saturday’, reporting on Wrexham, Cardiff and Swansea. He also provided TV match commentary on Wrexham highlights.

Currently Ian works for several different outlets. Along with BBC he works for UTV Radio (Signal Radio/The Wolf) as a news journalist and broadcaster. He also works for Hayters Teamwork as a football match reporter (written) on Premier League matches. This is combined with being a video journalist for The Perform Group, filming post match press conferences.

In 2007 Ian graduated from Staffordshire University with a 1st class honours degree in Sports Journalism.
